Adi Franković, a student from the Academy of Applied Arts, University of Rijeka, has won Certificate of Recognition, an internationally recognized award in the WorldStar Student Awards 2013 competition.
Adi won Certificate of Recognition for the re/design of the label and glass bottle of Vitinka mineral water product line, a producer from Kozluk, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Adi's re/design was the winning solution of the fifth Student Creative Workshop CROPAK 2013 (mentored by Aljoša Brajdić, senior lecturer at the Academy of Applied Arts, University of Rijeka) and one of the 161 packaging solutions from 18 countries around the world that were submitted into the WorldStar Student Award competition.
This year's judging of the submitted student solutions was a part of an annual WPO Board Meeting which took place on 7 November in Barcelona, Spain.
World Star Student Award is an international packaging design competition organized by the World Packaging Organization (WPO) for students from countries around the world to develop projects in the field of packaging design. Croatian Institute of Packaging and Graphic Arts Tectus – IatT from Zagreb is a member of WPO, thus the students who win the award for the best design solution at Student Creative Workshop are entitled to enter this prestigious competition.
Judging is based on:
- Degree of Innovation (including conceptual and technical aspect)
- Sales appeal/graphics in the target country
- Sustainability aspects relative to the target country
- Ease of processing/manufacturing
- The extent to which to pack is fit for purpose and complies with the functions of packaging
- Overall impression
