The winner of REGPAK 2013 won WorldStar award


The winner of this year's REGPAK award for the best packaging in the region, returnable crate for bottles by Pivovarna Laško d.d. from Slovenia won another, this time, world-recognized award. It found its place among the winners of WorldStar, award for the best packaging on the global level granted by World Packaging Organisation (WPO). Producer of the packaging is Croatian company Kaplast d.d. from Vojnić.

Taking into account that Institute of Packaging and Graphic Arts Tectus – IatT is a member of WPO, all national winners of the awards for the best packaging in Croatia and the region, CROPAK and REGPAK, are entitled to enter the international competition WorldStar.
Representatives of 24 packaging associations, members of WPO (World Packaging Organization), judged 249 packaging projects, from 35 countries, that applied for WorldStar Awards 2014. The judging session took place on 7 November, the third day of WPO’s Board Meeting program, held in Barcelona, Spain.

 Pivovarna Laško d.d. agrees that this award, which makes them really proud, confirms that their efforts and development are heading towards the right direction. As a company focused on sustainability, Pivovarna Laško d.d. wants to encourage the use of returnable glass packaging and thus reduce the negative impact on the environment, and offer their clients user friendly product at an acceptable price. The award winning returnable crate is ergonomically designed and lightweight with innovative central handle and outer handles made of soft material which enables easier transport and storage.
