International conference “Polymeric materials in Packaging” was held November 26, 2014 in Hotel Sheraton, Zagreb, Croatia. The fact that the topic of polymers is appealing to this region as well was obvious from a great interest of the participants. More than hundred participants from the whole region from a total of 62 companies listened with great interest to lectures of prominent experts, connoisseurs of this issue, who presented development, characteristics and application of polymeric materials and their modification in packaging industry with a special emphasis on their role in food packaging and challenges regarding environmental protection.
