In Croatia large amounts of glass packaging ends up on waste management sites and in the environment. Last year, 82 thousand tons of glass packaging was placed on the Croatian market. From that amount only 40,8 thousand tons returned to the recycling plant in Vetropack Straža glass factory, Hum na Sutli. Since we know that glass can be recycled countless times without loosing any of its quality, it is necessary to change the waste management system in general.
