In June 2012, Croatia will host the main annual event of the global packaging industry – World Packaging Days 2012. The organisation of this important event has been trusted to the Institute of Packaging and Graphic Arts – IAT, the company Tectus from Zagreb and the trade journal Ambalaža/REGprint by the World Packaging Organisation (WPO). Two years ago, WPO decided to choose Croatia over Chicago, which was in direct competition for the organisation of WPO’s Board Meeting, World Packaging Congress and WorldStar award ceremony. All of these events, along with the already traditional packaging festival FEST.A CROPAK, will be part of the World Packaging Days 2012. Ms. Drena Milijević, Director of Tectus, Managing Director of IAT and Editor in Chief of trade journal Ambalaža/REGprint, talks about all the details related to the main event which will be held from June 3rd to 8th 2012, in hotel Le Meridien Lav in Split, as well as about other planned events preceding the World Packaging Days 2012.
