Production Continues to Fall
Ever since 1987, Croatia has been recording a negative growth of industrial production, while printing and publishing industry has been one of the few sectors which not only achieved the 1990 results but also surpassed them by 325 percent in mid 1998. It made it the most developed industrial sector in Croatia. Unfortunately, since then it as been constantly dropping and after the first four months of 2011 it fell to 249%. Mr Rajko Naprta, Head of Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK) Paper, Press and Media Department and Secretary of Printing and Processing Industry Association commented on the latest data reported by the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.
