Ve­li­ki tr­go­vač­ki lan­ci ko­ji su po­sljed­njih go­di­na u Hr­vat­skoj sve broj­ni­ji, zah­ti­je­va­ju i po­seb­ne uslu­ge zbri­nja­va­nja ko­ri­snih ot­pa­da­ka. Do ta­da su se u rob­nim kuća­ma za zbri­nja­va­nje ot­pa­da ko­ri­sti­le elek­trič­ne preše ma­njeg ka­pa­ci­te­ta, kon­tej­ne­ri od 5 m3 i 30 m3 te ka­mio­ni za ruč­ni uto­var. Go­di­ne 1997. Bil­la, kao pr­vi tr­go­vač­ki la­nac ko­ji do­la­zi u Za­greb, zah­ti­je­va da se pro­blem preu­zi­ma­nja i zbri­nja­va­nja ko­ri­snih ot­pa­da­ka ri­ješi na način na ko­ji se rješa­va u Au­stri­ji, tj. ko­riš­te­njem spe­ci­jal­nih press kon­tej­ne­ra od 5, 10, 20 i 27 m3. Go­di­ne 1996. tvrt­ka Uni­ja­pa­pir d.d. skla­pa ugo­vor s lan­cem tr­go­vi­na Kon­zum, ko­jim je ob­vez­na po­sta­vi­ti svo­ju teh­no­lo­gi­ju preu­zi­ma­nja i zbri­nja­va­nja ko­ri­snih ot­pa­da­ka na sva­kom mje­stu gdje Kon­zum otvo­ri svoj tr­go­vač­ki cen­tar. Slič­ni su ugo­vo­ri o su­rad­nji pot­pi­sa­ni i s osta­lim tr­go­vač­kim lan­ci­ma pa se da­nas di­ljem Hr­vat­ske mo­gu vi­dje­ti press kon­tej­ne­ri ili sta­cio­nar­ne preše. Za­nim­lji­va je či­nje­ni­ca da iz tr­go­vač­kih la­na­ca da­nas do­la­zi 60% sa­kup­lje­nog pa­pi­ra.
